Description
This dot mandala workshop is designed to further your skills in the ancient art of dot mandala painting. You will be trying your hand at dot mandala design on the curved surface of one of my 16cm hand cast art plaster tea light holders.
Unlike the Introduction To Dot Mandala, and the Dot Mandala On Canvas workshops, the tea light holder designs explore drawing out your grid using a compass, silicone centre plug, and flexible ruler, rather than the flat mandala guide. You will be creating a more complex mandala on a coloured background of either Sandstone, Marine Blue or Maple Red using the DecoEarth acrylic paints by DecoArt.
This workshop is classed as the next step in your dot mandala journey, and it is recommended that you take the Introduction To Dot Mandala, or Dot Mandala On Canvas workshops before taking this one if you have not had any previous experience.

Venue:
Cumnor United Reformed Church Hall, Leys Road, Cumnor, Oxford
How to get there:
Cumnor United Reformed Church is about 100 yards into Leys Road at the west end of High Street.
By car
From the A34 at the Botley interchange take the A420 south signposted Swindon and then the second exit on the A420 to Cumnor after about two miles. At the end of the slip road turn right, then in a few yards turn right again at the T-junction onto the B4017, going over the A420 and left into Cumnor village.
Enter the one-way system past the Vine pub and continue into High Street with St Michael’s Church on your left. Go over the mini-roundabout taking the right fork; after three hundred yards there is a sign pointing to the United Reformed Church. Turn left from High Street into Leys Road – the Village Hall is on the corner. You will then see the church on the right-hand side of the road.
There are a limited number of parking spaces outside the church. Alternatively, there is a small car park behind the Old School in Cumnor behind the village shop.
Access to the hall is at the side of the church.
By bus
The nearest bus stop is Kenilworth Road. The hall is a 11 minute walk from the bus stop.
