Description
Join me to learn to create your own dot mandala apple blossom tree picture in Oxford. In this workshop you will start by drawing your own mandala grid on a prepared black 20cm x 20cm canvas using stencil and drawing compass, followed by tracing the tree design on top. You will then be guided through dotting and painting the dot mandala apple blossom tree design using acrylic paints.
Skills learned
- How to prepare a mandala grid with a stencil
- Practise dotting on a mandala grid
- Learn to dot random patterns to shapes that do not use a grid
It is helpful if you have done some dot mandala work before, as the workshops does not go through the basics of dot mandala painting. My Introduction to Dot Mandala Painting workshop is the perfect preparation for this one.

Cumnor United Reformed Church Hall, Leys Road, Cumnor, Oxford
How to get there:
Cumnor United Reformed Church is about 100 yards into Leys Road at the west end of High Street.
By car
From the A34 at the Botley interchange take the A420 south signposted Swindon and then the second exit on the A420 to Cumnor after about two miles. At the end of the slip road turn right, then in a few yards turn right again at the T-junction onto the B4017, going over the A420 and left into Cumnor village.
Enter the one-way system past the Vine pub and continue into High Street with St Michael’s Church on your left. Go over the mini-roundabout taking the right fork; after three hundred yards there is a sign pointing to the United Reformed Church. Turn left from High Street into Leys Road – the Village Hall is on the corner. You will then see the church on the right-hand side of the road.
There are a limited number of parking spaces outside the church. Alternatively, there is a small car park behind the Old School in Cumnor behind the village shop.
Access to the hall is at the side of the church.
By bus
The nearest bus stop is Kenilworth Road. The hall is a 11 minute walk from the bus stop.
