Spend a relaxed afternoon learning the art of folk art painting. Steeped in tradition, this folk art session will introduce you to the basics of the brush stokes used in traditional folk art around the world.

After a short introduction to the workshop, you have a demonstration on how to use the brushes to make some of the basic foundation strokes used in folk art. After some time practising the strokes, you will be guided through painting a folk art patterns on greetings cards.

With small numbers, and plenty of guidance from the tutor, this workshop aims to provide a relaxed and enjoyable introduction to the art of folk art painting.

  • Practice paper
  • Greetings cards and envelopes
  • paint
  • All tools/brushes loaned for use on the day
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits

Kencot Village Hall is located in the village of Kencot between Filkins and Alvescot in West Oxfordshire off the B4477.
